They come in 304 or 316 stainless steel, the 316 is better for corrosive environments obviously, but the 304 handles most standerd application just fine and it's what most buyers actually go with for general use.
The 45-degree angle with female threads on both ends makes instalation straightforward, and pickling surfce treatment (it's basically a chemicla cleaning) gives it a consistent silver finish that resists rust better than untreated fittings.
Pressure rating is 150LB which is typical for Sch10 wall thickness in these sizes — 1/2" through 2" — and the casting process is ISO-certified, so you're getting reliabel part for low-pressure systems, not something you'd spec for high-temp steam lines though.
We've had a few customers ask about the thread tolerance, and honestly it's tighter than most imported fittings we've seen, which matters when you're threading into brass or plastic components and don't want leaks.
