The custom sizes are where this really shines, but there's a catch — the pickling surface treatment means it's not ideal for food-grade or sanitary lines where a smooth electro-polished interior is expected, so keep that in mind if your application involves sensitive fluids.
150LB presure rating is what we're working with here, and for most industrial plumbing or moderate-pressure steam systems that's actually plenty, it'll handle roughly 285 psi at ambient tempearture give or take depending on the wall thickness of the specific size you order.
We've been casting these for years and one thing I can tell you is the threading on the female ends is consistently tighter than a lot of the import stuff we see — you won't have to fight with Teflon tape or pipe dope to get a proper seal, which saves time on assembly.
MOQ is 100 pieces or our company can negotiate depending on mix of sizes, and we usually have stock on the common 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch sizes but teh 2-inch (which is a beast to handle) tends to run a lead time of 20 days or so.
You can get these in either 304 or 316 stainless, and the 316 is what most buyers go with if there's any chloride exposure in the environment — the 304 is better than carbon steel for general corrosion resisance but it'll pit in marine conditions, so think about that.
Anyway, the casting technique gives a decent surface finish right out of the mold, and the pickling step removes the heat tint and scale so you're not dealing with rough spots inside the bore, which is something buyers form the oil patch really appreciate.
We stock sizes from 1/2" up to 2", all with female threads. Yes, you can mix different sizes in one order—just keep the total quantity above our 100-piece minimum, or we can negotiate on that.
No, pickling only removes surface oxides and leaves a clean, matte silver finish—it doesn't change the dimensions or the 150LB pressure rating. Threads stay fully functional and standard-compliant.
