When your custmer’s technician is assembling a semiconductor deposition chamber or a lab’s turbo pump manifold, they’ll need a 90-degree turn that doesn’t introduce turbulence or leaks — that’s basically what this KF elbow is designed for, and we’ve seen it used in industrial coating systems too.
Welded from SS304 or SS316 with a phosphide surface treatment (which actually helps with corrosion resistance in humid cleanroom environments), available sizes run form KF16 up to KF50, and we stock standard sizes so lead time is typically 5-7 days — but check for non-standard.
It holds vacuum down to 10-9 mbar across temperature range of -20°C to 150°C, which is better than many cast elbows for this appliction, and the welding connection means no O-ring to worry about at the joint — just a clean, permanent fit.
Most buyers go with SS316 for systems handling aggressive process gases, but SS304 works fine for general vacuum duty; we also offer full material certs and pressure test reports on request, usually within 20 days or so if you need them for compliance.
It’s not suited for high-vibration environments where you’d want a flexible coupling instead — that’s just a fact of rigid elbows — and teh phosphide finish doesn’t hold up to constant chemical spray, so keep that in mind for wet application.
Payment is T/T or L/C at sight for bulk orders, MOQ is typically 50 units or so for custom sizes, and our company can match DIN, ANSI, GB, JIS, or BSW standard base on your spec sheet.
We don't have a strict MOQ for standard sizes KF16 to KF50 — you can order as few as 10 pieces if needed. For custom specs or non-standard sizes, we'd ask for a minimum of 50 pieces.
Yes, we can issue a mill test report for each batch of material — just let us know when you place the order. It's included at no extra cost for standard orders.
That's right — both SS304 and SS316 elbows hold the same vacuum rating of 10⁻⁶ to 10⁻⁹ mbar. The material choice mainly affects corrosion resistance in your specific vacuum environment.
We pack each elbow individually in bubble wrap and then box them in sturdy cartons with foam inserts. For larger orders, we use wooden crates to protect threads and surfaces during transit.
Standard sizes like KF40 with our regular polished finish ship in 5-7 days. If you need a custom polish level, add about 2-3 extra days for that batch.
