Had to pull the trigger on the FXJ-AT5050 before pricing jumps again — incoming packging line is killing us with inconsistent seals and speed bottlenecks.
We've been running a manual setup and it simply can't keep pace anymore, especially with the new contract for cleaning products that hits next month. Teh adjustable conveyor speed from 0 to 12 m/min gives us the flexibility to dial it in for different box sizes without stopping line every thirty seconds.
Power draw is just 240W at 220V single phase, which is nice because we don't need to rewire anything in the warehouse. The work table height adjusts from 500 to 700mm and the conveyor itself can handle packages between 180x150x150mm up to 500x600mm — pretty much covers our whole range. Tape width of 36-70mm is also standard, so we don't have to carry multiple roll sizes.
It seals with hot melt glue, and that means we save on consumables compared to tape, though you'll need to keep the glue pot clean and warm. The suplier quotes 12m/min peak capacity but realistically we'll probably run at 8-10m/min for most of our food and beverage cartons. They have stock, lead time is usually 2-3 weeks but confirm.
One thing our floor manager noticed right away — the table height adjustment is a manual crank, which is fine for set-and-forget but not for quick changeovers. Also, CE certification is included, but the instruction manual is clearly machine-translated and a couple of wiring diagrams are slightly off (we'll double-check with our electrician). The machine itself is 1020x850x1450mm and 145kg net, so plan for a pallet jack and two people to position it.
We can customize the voltage to match your local grid—just let us know what you need when ordering. The standard is 220V 50Hz 1pH, but we've done 110V and other configurations before.
