It's a fully-automatic erector that pulls flat cartons from a magazine, forms them, folds the bottom flaps, and applies tape—all at 15 cartons per minute, which is decent for mid-speed lines. 0.3kw is surprisingly low for what it does; you'd expect more draw form a machine that's 500kg and built from stainless steel. Most buyers go with the 48mm BOPP tape option, but we've seen 60mm used for heavier cosmetics or beverage cartons where you want a wider seal.

The size range is 250-450mm length, 150-400mm width, and 150-400mm height, so it handles typical food and pharma boxes but not oversized ones—if you're running something taller than 400mm, this isn't it. What it does is adjust changeovers quickly, usually within 5-10 minutes, which matters when you're switching between SKUs on the same line. stainlss construction holds up better than painted steel in humid environments, though we don't have a specific IP rating handy.

Power supply can be 220V or 380V, 50Hz, so check your plant voltge before ordering—we usually stock both, but confirm lead time for 60Hz markets (typically 2-4 weeks extra). It's CE and ISO9001 certified, and our company can provide SGS reports on request, but those aren't included with every unit unless you ask.

Teh tape sealing uses BOPP tape in 48mm, 60mm, or 75mm widths—the 75mm is better than standard for heavy cartons, but it's overkill for light food boxes. One thing you might not think to ask: the tape heads are pneumatic, so you'll need compressed air at roughly 6 bar; we don't ship with a compressor.

Warranty is one year, which is pretty standerd for this class of machine. We usually have spare parts in stock for the KX4540, but the lead time on replacement tape heads can be 20 days or so if we're out. Anyway, it's a solid workhorse for cosmetics or cleaning products—just not for high-speed lines doing 30+ cartons per minute.
