The tension handling is what actually sealed it for us — 120 newtons continuous and 225 short-term means this won't just snap during a typical pull through conduit, especially compared to the 100N cables we've been burning through.

0.2dB insertion loss is tighter than most standerd OM2 jumpers we've tested, though you'll want to keep an eye on return loss spec of ≥35dB since that's not for single-mode. We're going with OM2 for the 50/125μm core since it gives us better bandwidth at 850nm and 1300nm, which is what the backbone switches are expecting.

And the polarity's pinned as A to B right on the model number SCSC-AM1023ROR, so we don't have to worry about mismatched Tx-Rx pairs during rack patching. The 2.0mm diameter is easier to route in tight cable trays than the 3.0mm — basically less space taken up and better bend radius with 20D or 10D static.

We usually have stock on the common 1-meter and 3-meter lengths, but if you need longer runs (10 meters or so) the lead time is roughly 2 weeks out of the warhouse. Teh UPC polish is fine for most datacom applicaion — it's not suited for high-precision analog or sensing work where you'd really want APC angle-polished ends, but that's not our use case anyway.

Operating range covers -20°C to +70°C, which handles our unconditioned IDF closets, (check they'll work in direct sun outside since they're indoor-rated). RoHS and CE are standard here, but the VDE mark on this lot means they passed European flame tests — something the generic Chinese batches usually leave out, and that matters for our next audit.
We do offer custom lengths — just let us know what you need. Standard options are available too, but we can cut and terminate to your exact spec without any issues.
For an order of 1000 pieces, lead time is usually around 10-15 working days. If you need it faster, we can prioritize production depending on current workload.
Yes, we include a test report for insertion loss (≤0.2dB) and return loss (≥35dB) with every batch. It's standard practice for us to ensure quality.
We stock both 2.0mm and 3.0mm options. For tight conduit runs, go with the 2.0mm — it's more flexible and easier to pull through narrow spaces.
The MOQ for custom lengths with OM2 fiber is 100 pieces. If you need less than that, standard lengths are available with no minimum.
