We're shiping these with MTRJ to LC UPC terminations, duplex configuration, and the 850/1300nm wavelength handling is what makes it a different animal for data center guys running parallel optics. Insertion loss holds at ≤0.2dB, return loss north of 35dB, and the 50/125μm core with bend-insensitive fiber means you can route it through 7.5mm radius turns without killing your signal — that's tighter than most patch panels allow anyway.
Attenuation runs about 3.0 dB/km at 850nm and 1.0 dB/km at 1300nm, so for 40G Ethernet you're looking at 440 meters reach on the short wavelength, 150 meters for 100G. Most buyers don't push it to those limits in practice, they're usually running 100-meter trunk runs between top-of-rack switches and patch panels. The polarity is set A to B, Tx to Rx, which is pretty much standerd for duplex links.
Operating temp range is -20°C to +70°C, so it handles warm aisle containment just fine, but we don't recommend it for outdoor direct burial — the jacket is PVC or LSZH depending on your order, not armored. One thing buyers often miss is the cable diameter option: 2.0mm for high-density patching where you're cramming 48 fibers into a 1U tray, or 3.0mm if you want a bit more durability in horizontal runs.
We typically keep about 500 units in stock for the standard 3-meter length, but custom lengths from 0.5m to 50m are availble with a 7-10 business day lead time. MOQ is 10 pieces for custom lengths, 50 pieces for stock lengths if you want bulk pricing — and most buyers ordering 200+ units get about 15% off per-unit cost.
Certifications are RoHS, CE, ISO9001, VDE, and CCC, so it'll pass inspection for EU or Chinese data center builds without drama. The tensile strength is rated under 100N, which basically means don't stand on it or use it as a tie-down — we've had customers try that, and it's not designed for it. Also, the 2.0mm cable has a tighter bend radius of 20D versus 10D for teh 3.0mm, so factor that into your cable management planning.
MOQ is 100 pieces for standard lengths, but we can negotiate lower quantities for sample or trial orders.
