So you're looking at fiber patch cords and you've landed on OM3 — that's the sweet spot for a lot of data center work, 50/125 micron core with laser-optimized performance, and what we've got here is the aqua-jacketed version you'll see everywhere in modern racks, with insertion loss held to 0.3dB or less which is tighter than most generic cables manage.
We usually stock these in SC, FC, LC, and ST connector options, both UPC and APC polish depending on what your gear needs, and the ceramic ferrule is standdard because of that it holds up better over thousands of matings than composite would. Cable diameter is either 2.0mm or 3.0mm depending on your bend radius requirment, and the jacket comes in LSZH for plenum spaces or PVC for general use — just let us know which you need when you order.
Basically, these are built for backbone runs in data centers or fiber-to-the-desk setups, but they're not ideal for long-haul outdoor runs where singlemode would be teh better call. Return loss is at least 35dB which matters when you're pushing 10G or even 40G over short distances, and the operating range is -10°C to +70°C so they'll handle a warm server room without issue.
One thing we've noticed handling these for years is that the 3.0mm diameter version is actually easier to manage in patch panels — it's stiffer but less likely to kink than the 2.0mm. Every batch comes with a COA showing insertion loss test results, and we've got the usual certifications like RoHS and CE if your compliance team asks.
