You’ve got a stainless steel ferrule here that’s galvanized for corrosion resisance, and it’s available form 1/2" up to 8" in both equal and reducing shapes. head style is a hexagon, female connection, and it meet DIN, ANSI, GB, JIS, and BSW standard — so it’ll fit most hydraulic systems without adapter headaches.
We see these mostly in heavy equipment and hydraulic press lines where the pressure cycles are brutal and a leak means downtime. Basically, if you’re running a 10,000 psi system and need a secure coupling that won’t gall, this is it. The hex head lets you torque it properly without rounding off.
Lead time is 15 to 20 days for a full container, but our company can negotiate a trial order of 50 units or so if you’re just testing a new line. MOQ is one container — roughly 500 to 800 pieces depending on size — but we’ve done smaller runs for first-time buyers. Just confirm stock before you place the PO.
It’s not ideal for food-grade or pharmaceutical lines because the galvanized coating can leach zinc under certain pH conditions. For those, you’d want electropolished 316L instead. But for hydraulic oil, water-glycol, or pneumatic circuits, this holds up better than most plated carbon steel options.
What it does is give you a consistent seal across temperture swings from -40°C to 120°C or so (check the COA for your batch). The ISO 9001 cert means every lot gets an HPLC purity check on the raw stainless, but we don’t test every single ferrule for thread tolerance — that’s usually fine unless you’re ordering 8-inch reducing fittings, which can vary by 0.1 mm.
