We've had these 1CH screw type couplings running in hydraulic systems for a while now, and they handle water, gas, oil, and steam pretty well — just keep it under 600psi or so, and you're fine with the zinc coating.
The hexagon head makes it easier to tighten in tight spots, which buyers appreciate, and the BSP/BSPT threading fits most standard setups without adapters.
It's basically a medium carbon steel fitting with a zinc coat, so don't use it for high-corrosion chemcial lines — that's not what it's built for. 3-5 words: Temperture range is -20°C to 200°C.
