If you're setting up a TIG setup for the first time and need something that just works out of the box, this ground finish electrode is a solid starting point — it's not exotic, but it's what most shops will reach for when they don't want to mess around with grinding their own tips.

The WC20 composition (basically copper-infused zirconium) gives it a decent balance of arc stability and tip life at medium amperages, usually 150-200 amps or so, and you've got diameters from 1.0mm up to 6.4mm with either 150mm or 175mm lengths (teh 175mm is handy for deeper joints). It's CE and ISO9001 certified, but we don't list exact copper percentage on every COA — you'll get that with the batch, roughly.

Actually, it's better than a pure tungsten electrode for aluminun or AC welding because the copper content helps with arc starting and reduces wandering, but it's not suited for high-amp DC steel work where you'd want a thoriated or lanthanated stick instead — that's just the trade-off with this blend. One thing you might not think about is that the ground finish means less suface contamination out of the box, but you'll still need to sharpen it before use (they come flat-ended).

MOQ is 10 pieces per plastic box, and we usually have stock on the 1.6mm and 2.4mm sizes within 20 days or so, but check lead time for the 4.8mm or 6.4mm.
The MOQ is 10 pieces per order. We can't go below that because the packaging is set for 10 pieces per plastic box.
We usually ship within 3-5 working days for standard sizes and quantities. If you need a rush, let us know and we'll see what we can do.
Yes, we can provide copies of the CE, CCC, and ISO9001 certificates upon request. Just contact us after placing the order.
We currently only offer 150mm and 175mm lengths. Custom lengths would require a larger MOQ, so let's discuss if you have a specific need.
Keep them in the original plastic box in a dry, clean place. Avoid touching the ground finish surface to prevent contamination before welding.
