Look, it's a SC APC/UPC duplex connector, so you're already dealing with a narrower applicaion window than LC connectors, especially in high-density environments, but for FTTH and a lot of legacy telecom gear it's basically the standard—most buyers go with the SC duplex anyway for drop cables.
Insertion loss runs at ≤0.30dB, which is tighter than the cheap stuff you'll find on generic patches, and teh return loss hits ≥50dB on single-mode, so you're not chasing ghost losses on a 30km run or so.
We usually have stock on the ceramic ferrule version (2.5mm diameter, concentricity ≤0.5μm for single-mode), but the multimode spec is looser at ≤3μm—if you're doing long-haul single-mode, that tight concentricity is what saves you from extra splice loss.
Operates form -40°C to +85°C, 1000 mating cycles rated, tensile strength >10kg—handles the outdoor FTTH deployment where a truck might yank the cable or a tech steps on the connector in a pedestal.
One thing: the plastic UL-rated housing won't stand up to a direct sledgehammer hit (tested that by accident once), but for a 5g actuator cycling in an ODF frame it's more than fine, and the boot is color-coded (usually for drop cable ID, not just looks).

UPC gives you a flat polish with good return loss, while APC uses an 8-degree angle for even higher reflection control. For single-mode FTTH, APC is typically preferred to minimize back reflections, especially with high-power lasers.
