Came across your inquiry on the catalog and figured I'd reach out directly since we've handled quite a few of these TGG free space isolators for people working around teh 1030 to 1064nm range.
The center wavelength can be set at either 1064nm or 1030nm depending on what your laser's doing — we usually see most buyers go with the 1064nm option for YAG setups, but the 1030nm is better for certain ultrafast systems you might be running. Peak transmittance hits about 95% at room tempearture which is pretty typical for these, and you're looking at a minimum isolation of 40dB across band with the peak hitting 50dB or so. Insertion loss is tight too, roughly 0.3dB minimum up to 0.4dB max, so you won't lose much signal through the thing. We generally stock the 5W and 10W versions, but the 20W is special order (usually 2-4 weeks lead time).
Anyway, the package is 82 by 45 by 44mm so it'll fit into most breadboard setups without much fuss, and it's terminated with SC-PC connectors which is actually what most of our customers specify for single-mode work. What it does is block back reflections pretty aggressively — the return loss is 50dB minimum on both input and output sides.
Storage temp goes form 0°C to 60°C, so it's not suited for anything that'll see freezing conditions or extreme heat, but for lab environments it's absolutely fine. One thing a lot of people don't think to ask about is the ferrule endface — it's PC (UPC) polished, which gives you tighter tolerance than flat-polish for these wavelengths.
We don't always have the 20W version on hand, so confirm lead time if that's what you need. The 5L drum is easier to handle if you're doing small prototype runs anyway.
We offer 5W, 10W, and 20W as standard, but if you need something in between or higher, just let us know your spec and we can adjust.
Yes, each unit ships with a test report showing actual peak isolation (50dB min at 23°C) and insertion loss (typically 0.3dB, max 0.4dB) so you can verify performance.
MOQ is typically 10 pieces for standard specs, but we can discuss smaller quantities for prototyping or sample evaluation.
Keep it in a clean, dry environment between 0°C and +60°C, and leave the connectors capped to avoid dust on the SC-PC endfaces.
Right now we only offer SC-PC with PC(UPC) endfaces, but if you need a different connector or polish, we can check feasibility for your order.
