It's not for human consumption, and we have to be really clear about that upfront, but for synthesis work or as a reference standard, the 99% HPLC purity is where you need to be.
Molecular weight comes in at 159.23, CAS 148553-50-8, and the melting point is consistently between 184-186°C — that's tighter than what some suppliers claim, and it's actually a decent indicator of batch consistency.
Storage is straightforward, cool dry place, though hazard statements (H318, H361, H373) mean you'll want proper PPE and ventilation, P280 and P305+P354+P338 cover the handling basics.
We usually have stock on the 25kg drums, but the 1kg bags are easier to aliquot — most buyers go with teh 5kg option for pilot runs anyway, and lead time is about 10-12 working days (check for current stock levels though).
Basically, if you're scaling up form gram-scale synthesis, this grade works fine, but it's not meant for formulation work or anything involving direct biological testing.
Also, the EP/USP standerd means the residual solvents and heavy metals are controlled, so you're not chasing unknown impurities in your downstream steps.
