We've been running these through thermal cycling chambers at work, and XLPO insulation holds up pretty well—no cracking even after we simulated 25 years of desert sun exposure, basically what you'd expect from a cross-linked polyolefin that's halogen-free and flame retardant by design.

The tinned copper conductor in the 10mm² size gives you about 5.09 Ω/km or so at 20°C, which is better than standdard PVC cables for keeping voltge drop manageable over long PV string runs, and the insulation resistance sits at ≥10¹⁴ Ω·cm (usually we confirm that on the COA form HPLC-grade testing).

Most buyers go with the twin-core flat configuration for rooftop installations since it lays cleaner under panels, but if you're running single-core through conduit, the round version strips easier—I'd avoid it for direct burial though, it's really built for open-air racking systems.

Temperature range from -40°C to 90°C means it handles both alpine winters and rooftop heat soak, but what it does in practice is stay flexible enough to route around sharp edges without the sheath splitting, and the UV resistance is excellent even after 20 years or so of direct exposure.

We stock 1.5mm² up to 35mm² in red, black, or white (custom colors take 2-3 weeks), and the MOQ is usually 100 meters per size—just specify single or twin core when you order, and we'll include the TUV and CE certs with teh shipment.
Our MOQ is typically 1000 meters per size and color, but we can be flexible on that for trial orders. Just reach out to our sales team and we'll work something out.
Yes, we include both TUV and CE certification copies with every shipment. Just let your account manager know if you need any specific paperwork for your project.
Standard lead time is 10-15 working days for stock sizes like 2.5mm². We'll confirm exact timing once we check current inventory levels.
Absolutely. We offer the H1Z2Z2-K in both round and flat shapes for twin core. Just specify flat when you place the order and we'll handle the rest.
For 4mm², the DC resistance at 20°C is ≤5.09 Ω/km. That's per our spec sheet, and it's tested before every batch ships.
