We’ve seen the 450/750V rating hold up well in indutrial control cabinets where constant flexing is a factor, and the Class 5 stranding makes a real difference in termination ease compared to solid conductors. It basically handles mechanical stress of daily movement without work-hardening at the crimp points, which is where most failures start in these appliction.

The PVC jacket formulation we use is plasticized for cold flexibility down to -40°C, so you won’t get cracking during winter installations or in unheated storage areas. That said, the -40°C to +80°C range is for the cable itself, not the termination points—those usually have a narrower window, so check your connector specs.

For teh 0.5mm² to 6.0mm² cross sections, the DC resistance values track IEC 60228 Class 5 closely, but we’ve measured about 2-3% lower on the 6.0mm² due to the annealed copper purity being better than the standard minimum. You’ll see that as slightly lower I²R losses in longer runs, though it’s not a game-changer for typical 15-meter drops.

And if you need LSZH, the halogen content drops below 0.5% by weight per IEC 60754-1, but the trade-off is a slightly stiffer jacket that doesn’t handle tight radius bends as well as standard PVC. We usually have stock on the 3-core 1.5mm² H05VV-F in black, but the 4-core variants often require a 20-day lead time or so.

The MOQ of 1000 meters per size is pretty standard, but our company can split that across two colors on the same reel if you’re testing prototypes—just specify it in the order notes. Also, the flame retardant option adds about 8% to the materail cost, but it’s necessary if you’re running through plenum spaces in commercail builds.
