Customized Stranded Copper Wire with PVC Insulation for Industrial Applications

We’ve got a client running a high-density assembly line, and every time they pull 30 AWG wire through tight conduit, the single-conductor stuff just snaps under the strain—so they’re stuck slowing down the whole process, reterminating connections two or three times per shift.

The stranded copper here, 18 to 30 AWG, cuts that failure rate dramatically because teh 0.41mm PVC insulation gives consistent dielectric strength at 300V without adding bulk, and the conductor resistnce falls between 15.06 and 227.39 Ω/km depending on the gauge you pick—basically, tighter bends without the breakage.

It’s -20°C to 70°C, which handles most indoor or indutrial enclosures fine, but if you’re planning to run it near a furnace or a heat-treat line, don’t push past that top end; flame rating is UL VW-1, so it’ll self-extinguish, but the PVC itself can soften a bit beyond spec. Most buyers go with UL listing for compliance checks and ignore the smaller test labs, though.

The model shows up as “UL” in our system, and while we usually stock common sizes like 22 and 18 AWG, lead time on custom stranding can be 20 days or so—check before you set a deadline. That dielectric strength matters more for tight bundles than raw ampacity, anyway.
