Ordered 2,500 meters of the 2.5mm² stranded in blue and 1,200 meters of the 6mm² solid in yellow — delivery is quoted at 18 working days, though we usually have stock, so confirm lead time if it's urgent. We went with the 450/750V rated version since most of our building runs need that headroom, and the 70°C temp rating is fine for standard household use.
Basically, this is for internal wiring in apartments and small commerical fit-outs — think lighting circuits, socket outlets, and switch drops. It's not suited for direct burial or outdoor exposure, but for inside conduit or trunking it's a solid match, and the PVC insulation handles flame retardant requirments without issue.
We've used this supplier before on a smaller order (about 500 meters of 1.5mm²) and copper drawing was consistent — no brittle strands, and the insulation stripped cleanly without sticking to the conductor. The CE mark and CCC certification are in place, though I'd still ask for a COA on this batch since the spec range goes from 0.5mm² to 400mm² and we're ordering mid-range sizes.
What it does is give us a flexible sourcing option for standdard building wire, and the pricing per meter came in about 8% lower than our usual distributor for the same cross-section. The supplier confirmed they can do custom colors beyond the standard five (red, yellow, blue, green, black) but that adds 5-7 days to production.
One thing that caught me — the rated tempearture options are 70°C, 90°C, and 105°C depending on the formulation, but we're fine with the 70°C grade for most interior runs (check the spec sheet if you're running near boilers or heating ducts). The 300/500V variant is also available but we don't need it for this project.
Anyway, the order covers the 2.5mm² stranded (for general socket circuits) and the 6mm² solid (for sub-mains), both in the 450/750V rating. We'll get the COA with the shipment and I've asked for a sample of the 10mm² for a future job, though they said the MOQ for that size is 500 meters or so.
BV is solid conductor, BVR is stranded, and RV is flexible. For fixed wiring in walls, go with BV or BVR; for appliances or tight bends, RV gives you more flexibility.
They come with ISO9001, CE, and CCC certification, so they're approved for most residential and commercial installations. We can provide the cert copies along with the shipment.
We stick to red, yellow, blue, green, and black for standard production. If you need a specific color for a large order, we can discuss it—just let us know the quantity.
For smaller sizes like 0.5mm², MOQ is usually around 1000 meters per color. For larger cross-sections, it might be less. We can be flexible on first orders.
Yes, we can make the flame retardant or fire resistant version across the full range. Just specify that when you place the order so we use the right PVC compound.
