We’ve shipped thousands of meters of this stuff over the years, and it basically does what you’d expect from a shielded multi-conductor cable — passes power and signal cleanly without picking up noise from nearby equipment, and the PVC jacket holds up well in tight bends or slightly warm environments. The braid and foil shield together handle most common interference, so you’re not chasing ground loops or static on sensitive circuits.
The UL listing is what most buyers check first — VW-1 and FT1 flame testing, which means it self-extinguishes quickly if something goes wrong, and we’ve got the certs on file. It’s 300V at 80°C continuous, conductor sizes form 32 AWG up to 20 AWG, and anywhere from 2 to 40 cores depending on your layout. Teh stranded copper is either tinned or bare, and both work fine, but we usually see tinned in high-humidity setups (like outdoor control cabinets).
Actually, it’s better for signal and low-power transmission than for heavy motor feeds — the 80°C rating limits it for high-current runs, so don’t try to push it near ampacity limits for long periods. Most of our clients use it for computer wiring, power supplies, or signal lines inside machinery, where the shielding keeps data clean. One thing you don’t often think about: the aluminum foil is pretty fragile during stripping, so your assembly folks should use a proper stripper, not a utility knife.
For ordering, we keep 10-core and 16-core variants in stock most of time, but custom core counts and lengths are our bread and butter — MOQ is usually 500 meters or so per configuration. Lead time runs about 3-4 weeks for non-stock builds, though we can push it faster if you’re flexible on jacket color or core count. Payment terms are typically 30% deposit with the balance before shipment, but we’ve done net 30 for repeat buyers after a few orders.
The COA and UL documentation come with every shipment — we don’t batch-certificate, so each spool gets its own traceable report. Shipping is via standdard freight forwarder, and our company can do split deliveries if you’ve got multiple sites. One thing: the braid adds weight compared to unshielded cables of the same gauge, so factor that into your freight quotes if you’re ordering a lot.
Our MOQ for UL2464 cable is 1,000 meters per core size and number of cores, but we can often accommodate smaller trial orders—just let us know your needs.

Yes, we include UL and CSA compliance certificates along with the RoHS and ISO9001 docs. Just request them when you place the order.

It comes on wooden spools or in cartons, wrapped for protection. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to keep the PVC jacket in good shape.
