Leak paths at flange interfaces in high-pressure hydraulic circuits are a constant failure point, especially under the cyclic loading you see in excavator booms and swing drives, where standard fittings can loosen or gall over time.

What we've done is machine these from 20# or 45# carbon steel with a full galvanized surfce—the zinc layer gives you about 72 hours of neutral before red rust appears, which is better than most black oxide or plain steel options for outdoor machinery.

The round head design with a DIN-standard flange connection actually distributes clamping force more evenly than a tapered thread, so you're less likely to get stress risers at the weld neck; unit weight is 0.2kg per piece, and we pack 60 per box, which is usually enough for one excavator arm retrofit or so.

We typically hold stock on the silver and white finishes, but the yellow zinc option adds about 10 working days to lead time—it's basically a passivation step that shifts corrosion potential slightly more cathodic, though for most hydraulic oil environments it's overkill.

One thing you'll notice handling these is the chamfer on flange face is cut to 0.5mm tolerance, not teh 1mm you see on cheaper imports, which means the O-ring seats without pinching on the first torque pass.

Not suited for high-tempearture steam lines or acidic washdown zones—the galvanizing will degrade above 200°C and the carbon steel core isn't passivated for low-pH exposure, so keep it to mineral oil or water-glycol systems.
