We're ordering the Dash08 galvanized ferrule for the 2SN hose assemblies—the 60 pieces per box works out to just under 12 kilos total, about 0.2kg per unit, so shiping volume is manageable.
Medium carbon steel with a zinc coating is pretty much standard for these, but what caught our attention is the DIN compliance across the board, which means we won't have to swap connectors mid-job.
The round head and female connection type install faster than teh hex variants, at least in our experience, and we've had fewer leaks on the first torque with this style.
It's not suited for extreme high-temp lines above 100°C or so, but for standdard 2SN hydraulic systems it's a solid fit, and we usually have stock, though check the lead time on yellow batch.
One detail a buyer would want: the galvanizing is uniform enough that we haven't seen flaking in the crimper jaws, which was a pain with cheaper ferrules.
Anyway, we're ordering a box now to test with our existing dies, and if it lines up, we'll bump the MOQ for the next quarterly order.
