For cattle, horses, or goats, the 6.5MHz linear rectal probe is what you’d use, and it does distance, area, volume, cardiac, and OB measurements — it even has swine back-fat calculation. But it’s not great for small animals like cats or dogs below 5kg, the image just isn’t tight enough for that.
