Can't say it's for every animal out there but six species is pretty solid—just don't expect to get a crystal-clear reading on a horse's deep abdomen with the 7.5MHz probe, that's really for smaller stuff like dogs or sheep, though for most field pregnancy checks it's more than adequate and we've seen buyers rely on it heavily for cattle and pigs where timing matters.

Battery runs about 4 to 6 hours continuous so you'll get through a couple of farm visits at least—it weighs 2.5kg which is surprisingly manageable for a 20cm depth machine, dimensions are 280 by 180 by 60mm pretty much, and you've got three probe options (3.5, 5, and 7.5MHz) so you can switch depending on what you're scanning, though most people just stick with the 5MHz for standdard pregnancy detection since it hits the sweet spot.

We've shipped quite a few of these to vets doing field work and honestly the 1920×1080 display is what makes it—you're not squinting at fuzzy images like with older units, though it's not an ultrasound specialist replacement for a full clinic setup, it's better than reagent-grade handhelds for quick reproductive diagnostics (usually 20 days or so payback if you're doing regular checks).

Basically the CE and ISO13485 cerification means you're not dealing with some knockoff, but we usually have stock so confirm lead time—one thing nobody asks is how the probe handles mud and manure, and the answer is it's waterpoof so it cleans up fine, just don't submerge the whole unit obviously.

Also the 3.5MHz probe will get you deeper penetration for larger animals like cattle but the 7.5MHz gives you better resolution for early pregnancy in small ruminants like goats or sheep—your choice depends on what you're scanning most, and we typically recommend going with the 5MHz as the starting point.
