Basically went with the Y81-200 because we needed something that could handle both heavy scrap and occasional paper run without swapping machines — the RD-120T spec is what seals it for us, with that 22kw power draw it's not a power hog for the compression force you get.

The hydraulic system runs on imported pumps and solenoid valves, which means less drift over time compared to the domestic alternatives we've tested, and teh water or air cooler option is actually critical if your shop runs hot (we usually go with air cooler to avoid plumbing headaches).

Control is either manual or PLC, and for a baling operation most buyers stick with PLC for consistent cycle times, but if you're doing odd-shaped coils or delicate pipe the manual override lets you ease off the pressure — the strapping is welding type with plastic tape, so you'll need to budget for tape stock roughly every 20 days or so depending on throughput.

22kw is about what you'd expect for this class, and the warranty is one year which is standerd, though we usually add a service contract for the hydraulic block since that's where failures hit if coolant gets neglected, and lead time form origin is typically 6-8 weeks (check current dock congestion).

One thing that caught us off guard on a previous unit was the track strapping system — it's horizontal and requires a clean floor area of about 4 meters by 2 meters for the strapping cycle to feed properly, so measure your bay before ordering, and it's not suited for continuous wet materail like sludge because the welding mechanism fouls up quickly.
