The dual pump system covers a blood flow range of 15-340mL/min with the φ6mm line or 20-620mL/min with φ8mm, which is tighter than most units we tested for low-flow sensitivity, and the dialysate flow adjusts from 300-800mL/min so you can dial in pediatric or high-flux protocols.
Air detection uses an infrared sensor that catches bubbles down to 200μl, and the ultrasonic blood level sensor has never false-alarmed on us—basically, it’s better than reagent grade for this appliction, but don’t expect it to handle continuous venovenous hemofiltration (CVVH) without modifications.
One thing you might not think to ask: the hot rinse cycle hits 90°C and takes about 20 minutes or so, which is fine for daily disinfection, but peracetic acid cycle leaves a faint smell for an hour afterward (we usually run it last thing before shutdown).
