We've been running these FCY jacks for about six months now, and the roller burnished cylinders actually hold up better than the honed ones we used before — surface finish is noticeably smoother, which means less seal wear over time. The 125% load test on every unit before shippng is standdard, but what sold me was that they retest at no charge if we flag any issue within the first year, and we've only had to use that once on a 50-ton model with a slow return spring.
Chrome plated piston rods are pretty much the norm in this class, but the baked enamel finish on the cylinder body is a nice touch for outdoor bridge work where corrosion is a constant headache. Most buyers go with the 10-ton or 20-ton for general lifting, but we ordered the 100-ton for pier jacking because the closed height is only 282 mm — that's tighter than most competitors' specs for that capacity. Oil capacty ranges from 72 cc on the small end to 1869 cc on the big one, so make sure your pump can handle the volume if you're running multiple jacks in parallel.
It's not suited for continuous loads like a press operation — these are single-acting spring return jacks, so they're really for static lifting and holding. The 3/8" NPT coupler is standard, but we had to swap one for a metric fitting on a German pump, so check your adapter situation before ordering.
Anyway, CE cert is there, but what I actually checked was the batch consistency on the COAs — we got three samples form different production lots and the hardness variation on the alloy steel was within 2 HRC, which is tighter than the 5 HRC tolerance most supliers quote. Lead time is usually 20 days or so for the 10-50 ton range, but the 100-ton models can take 6-8 weeks depending on alloy steel availability.
We'll keep a spare seal kit on hand because the dust wiper is integrated into the gland nut — you can't just swap the wiper without pulling the whole piston, which is a pain if you're in the field. The warranty is one year, but honestly, if you're cycling these more than 500 lifts a year, plan on a seal refresh at 18 months regardless of the rating.
The FCY series covers 10 to 100 tons, with stroke lengths from 50 to 150 mm. MOQ is typically 50 units per model, but we can discuss if you need less.
For standard models, lead time is around 20-30 working days after order confirmation. Custom specs may add a week or two.
