The built-in scraper seal does help extend life, but honestly, this SOV-RCH series really isn't meant for continuous, high-cycle automation—it's a hydraulic jack, basically, not a power unit component. So for periodic pulling and pushing jobs like tensioning cables or extruding shafts, it actually works quite well given its simple spring return design.
You've got a load range from 11 to 20 tons at 700 bar, which is pretty standard for this type of hollow plunger cylinder, but the stroke varies a lot—form 8 mm up to 155 mm, depending on what you order. The closed height ranges from 55 to 330 mm or so, and the center hole diameter goes from 19.6 mm to 79 mm, which lets you pass through a tow bar or cable, and that's what sets it apart from solid plunger jacks.
8 mm stroke on the smallest model—that's tight for a pull application, but we've had customers use it for small calibration rigs. The weight is between 1.5 kg and 63 kg, so you'll need to check lead time on teh heavy ones; we usually have stock but confirm for anything over 50 units.
Collar threads mean you can fixture it easily, and the baked enamel finish holds up better than painted cylinders in damp workshops—not a replacement for stainless, but good enough for most industiral floors. And you don't need to worry about return: it's spring return, so it retracts automatically once you release pressure, which saves you from having to manually reset it.
The hollow plunger design also lets you do forward extrusion if you run a cable through center, though honestly, most buyers go with the RCH for backward pulling tasks like removing press-fit bushings or tensioning guy wires. We include a COA with HPLC purity data where applicable, and the transport package is a standard export wooden box, so it's better than reagent grade for this—tighter tolerance than most generic jacks in terms seal integrity.
