We’ve seen these handle compressors and pumps year after year, particularly in single-phase setups where you need that capacitor-start punch for locked rotor torque hitting 200-300%.
Models from YC63 to YC160 cover the 0.18kW to 400kW range—though honestly, most buyers stick with smaller frames for light indutrial use, and the copper windings hold up better than aluminum if you push them hard.
Speed options are 1400rpm or 2800rpm with 2 or 4 poles, and you can spec either B3 foot mount or B5 flange depending on your rig; insulation is B or F class, and the terminal box is plastic or metal (check lead time if you want custom painting).
It’s basically a workhorse for continuous S1 duty, but don’t stick it in a wet enviornment without confirming IP54—IP44 is fine for dry sheds, that’s it.
50Hz or 60Hz isn’t a problem, voltage ranges from 115V to 230V, and we usually have stock on IE1 efficiency models in teh 2-10kW sweet spot, maybe 20 units or so.
YC models are capacitor-start motors ideal for high starting torque applications like compressors, while YL models are capacitor-start/capacitor-run motors offering better efficiency and lower noise for continuous use. Both are available in the YC63~YC160 range.
Our standard MOQ for these motors is 50 units, but we can negotiate lower quantities for trial orders. Just let us know the exact model and mounting type you need.
YE3 motors carry ISO9001, CCC, and CE certifications as standard. For EU export, the CE mark covers the relevant directives, and we can provide additional documentation like the Declaration of Conformity upon request.
For humid conditions, we recommend the metal terminal box option as it offers better corrosion resistance and sealing compared to plastic. Both are IP44/IP54 rated, but metal holds up longer in high-moisture settings.
The 400kW rating applies to our three-phase models (Y2, Y3, YE2, YE3 series). For single-phase, the max power is lower—up to about 4kW depending on the model. Check the specific YC or YL spec sheet for exact limits.
