Most buyers go with the 25W version for lighter indexing tasks, but if you're running a constant-speed application where startup load is heavier, the 40W option handles it noticeably better without tripping your thermal protection, and we usually have both power ratings in stock for 220V single-phase — though for 110V or 380V we need about 20 days or so lead time.
What it does is give you a closed-type casing that's IP- dusty shop floors, and the 2-pole direct-on-line starting is pretty much standerd for these constant-speed setups, but I've seen some buyers try to use it for variable-speed application and that's where you'll run into trouble — it's simply not suited for that, the motor isn't designed for VFD control without additional hardware.

Anyway, one thing buyers don't always think to ask is that the planetary gearbox comes pre-greased with synthetic oil good for about 10,000 hours under normal load, but if your ambient temperature runs above 50°C consistently, you'll want to specify the high-temp grease option when you order — we usually have stock but confirm lead time for that variant.
