Been dealing with the usual headaches trying to source single-phase motors for our EU-based customers—inconsistent lead times and customs docs that don't match the shipment. This YL series hits our spec range nicely, we're ordering the 4-pole 220V models first to replace some aging units on a packaing line, the IP55 rating is enough to handle the occasional washdown, and the cast iron housing is actually sturdier than the alumnum alternatives we've been seeing lately.

Frame sizes go from 63 up to 132 which covers most of our standard mounting needs and they're offering five color options but we're just sticking with blue since that's what the end user expects. insulation class is B which is fine for these loads though I'd push for higher if they were running continuous duty in a hotter environment.

One thing that stood out is the 100% copper winding—means less heat buildup at partial load than the aluminum-wound stuff we tried last quarter, and the y-δ starting cuts the inrush current enough that we don't trip breakers on startup. It's actually better than regrade class for this application.

We're specifying IMB3 mounting with the option to swap to IMB35 later if needed, and they confirmed they can do custom shaft lengths but the lead time jumps to about 30 days or so for that. Most buyers go with the standdard frame though and that takes 2-3 weeks, but confirm lead time before you finalize the PO.

For logistics, they're including the full set of import docs—CCC certifcate, packing list, and a commercail invoice that's already formatted for EU customs, so we won't have to chase them for corrections. The MOQ is 10 units per model which is fine for this trial run, but next order we'll probably go with 50 or so for the higher-volume sizes.
