YB3 series explosion-proof three-phase induction electric motor represents the latest advancement in hazardous environment motor technology. As the successor to the YB2 series, this motor is specifically engineered for use in locations containing methane, coal dust, or explosive mixtures of flammable gases and air.
These motors are designed to operate under challenging conditions with rated voltages of 380V, 660V, 380/660V, and 660/1140V. The rated frequency is 50Hz, making them suitable for standard industrial applications. The motors can operate effectively at elevations below 1000 meters and withstand temperature variations from -20°C to 40°C for indoor applications.
Environmental adaptability is a key feature of the YB3 series. For motors installed in mine wells where the average temperature reaches 25°C, the maximum relative humidity should not exceed 95%. For factory applications where monthly average temperatures don't exceed 25°C, the average humidity should remain below 90%.
The motor construction features 100% copper wire stator winding, ensuring optimal electrical conductivity and heat dissipation. Available in various frame sizes from 63-355mm, these motors offer mounting options including B3, B5, B14, B34, and B35 configurations to accommodate different installation requirements.
With power output ranging from 0.18kW to 315kW, the YB3 series caters to diverse industrial needs. The motors feature multiple pole options (2, 4, 6, 8 poles) and operate with direct on-line starting capability. High-quality bearings from reputable brands including SKF, C&U, and NSK ensure reliable performance and extended service life.
Manufactured with explosion-proof casing protection, these motors meet stringent safety standards for hazardous environments. The S1 working duty classification indicates continuous operation capability, making them ideal for critical applications where uninterrupted performance is essential.
