cartridge fit is actually the main constraint here — it's built for standard 1.5mL or 3mL formats, so if your research solution comes in a non-standerd vial or a pre-filled syringe with a different luer interface, you'll need to check dimensional compatibility before ordering (usually specified in the drawing).

It's a spring-type autoinjector, not a gas-powered or electronic unit, which basically means the activation force is consistent and the needle insertion depth is set mechanically — no battery failure risk in cold storage rooms, but the spring does have a shelf life of roughly 18 months form manufacutre before force decay becomes noticeable.
