We’ve had researchers run both GLP-1 agonists and insulin glargine through the 1ml and 2.25ml variants without occlusion issues. The 27G or 29GTW needle is what’s usually stocked, and the fixed dose is pre-set at the factory—you pick the volume, we lock it.
There’s no real learning curve for patients or test subjects. Activation is just pressing the needle cover against skin, you’ll hear a click and see a plunger window change, and it’s done. The dimensions (18x18x145mm for 1ml, 159.2mm for 2.25ml) let one-handed operation work for most hand sizes, but people with very limited dexterity may prefer a slightly thicker grip—it’s worth a trial run before committing to full packaging.
What we hear most from buyers is about compatibilty with their primary container. Glass or polymer syringe barrels both seat correctly in the assembly, though polymer barrels with lower surface energy sometimes need a tweak in the snap-fit tolerance. We do a fit check with your sample barrel before any MOQ runs—basically, send over 5 or 10 empty barrels and we’ll send back a functional prototype within the lead time for you to bench-test.
Lead time on a first customization order, including tooling adjustments for your branded markings and teh injection depth set to 6±2mm, is typically 45–60 days if we already have the base components. For a standard cosmetic overlay only (color, logo), our company can shave that to about 25 working days or so. Bulk pricing starts around $1.15 per unit at 10k pieces (1ml config), dropping roughly 12% at 100k.
Garbage coming from any path? No. Every batch ships with an HPLC COA for the assembled device and we spot-check the needle removal force. What you won’t find in the spec sheet is that the auditory feedback click is quieter than on typical tattoo-style pens—it’s deliberate so it’s less startling in clinical settings.
One thing this device isn’t well-suited for: any formulation requiring suspension mixing in chamber. The fixed-dose, single-use cartridge doesn’t allow resuspension once you break the seal, so it’s a straight shot for solutions only. For anything with high particulates or lyophilizate-you-add-later, you need the multi-injection variant we sell seperately.
