What really sets this cable apart is the spiral shield — it gives you that extra layer of protection against electromagnetic interference without making the wire stiff, so you can still route it through tight spaces inside appliances pretty easily.
We've been supplying this to manufacturers for years, and most buyers go with the 18AWG or 16AWG for internal wiring, but the 28AWG is what you'll want for control panels or low-current signal lines — just keep in mind it's not meant for high-flex applicaion like robotic arms or continuous motion setups.
UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 flame ratings are a big deal if you're shiping equipement overseas, because a lot of inspectors will flag anything that doesn't have those vertical flame test passes, and we've seen customers get held up at customs over that exact issue.
You're looking at about 14.6 ohms per kilometer for the 16AWG at 20°C, which is better than some generic cables we've tested — teh copper is stranded and tinned, so it resists corrosion in humid environments, and the PVC insulation strips cleanly without leaving jagged edges.
Minimum order is usually one reel (500 feet or so), and our company can do custom lengths if you need them — just confirm lead time because stock varies by gauge, but 28AWG through 18AWG we typically have on hand, with 16AWG being the one that sometimes takes 20 days or so.
We stock UL1185 from 28AWG up to 16AWG. For bulk orders, we can mix different AWGs in one shipment, but let us know the quantities per size so we can quote accurately.

Our MOQ for UL1185 with spiral shield is 1,000 meters per AWG size. If you need less, we may have some in stock, but lead time could be longer.
We can adjust the OD slightly or use custom colors for orders over 5,000 meters per AWG. Standard colors are black, white, and red—other colors require a minimum run.
It ships on wooden spools, wrapped in stretch film. Standard lead time is 10–15 working days after order confirmation, depending on quantity and AWG mix.
