We've done these at 1.0mm cardboard for kids and 3.0mm for floor use—the thicker stock holds up way better when little ones are kneeling on it mid-puzzle.
Basically, the 1000-piece version is our most popular for ages 8 and up, but you can drop it to 12 pieces for toddlers or go custom anywhere in between (usually 2-4 weeks lead time on non-standdard piece counts).
CMYK offset printing gives you that flower detail—those petals actually pop—and our company can do Pantone if you need exact brand colors, though most buyers just go with CMYK for floral designs.
What it does is combine glossy or matt lamination with spot UV on box art, which makes the finished puzzle look pretty sharp on a shelf, but the puzzle itself isn't suited for wet play obviously.
Sample time runs about 5-7 working days, production is 18-25 after you confirm teh artwork—we've had one batch come in at 22 days or so depending on the lamination option you pick.
Packing is plastic bag plus paper box standard, or you can do custom packging if you're ordering 500 units or so—just keep the MOQ in mind when you're planning.
