You’re running a pneumatic line at 6 bar with polyurethane tubing, and the last thing you need is a fitting that seizes up or leaks after a few cycles. The PE series handles that—nickel-plated brass body with pre-coated threads, so you skip the PTFE tape entirely. It’s good for compressed air only, not water or oil, and we’ve seen it hold up through hundreds of connect-disconnect cycles without noticeable wear on the elliptical sleeve.
The quick-connect mechanism works with polyurethane, PE, or nylon tubing, and the rotating body helps when you’re routing lines in tight panels. Operating temp is 0°C to 60°C, which covers most factory floor conditions, but if you’re pushing above 8 bar or below -29.5 in Hg vacuum, this isn’t your part. We usually stock metric and imperial sizes, though the 6mm and 8mm are the ones that move fastest—about 200 units per order for most buyers.
What it does is let you seat the tube with a firm push, then release it by pressing teh collet collar—no tools needed for that part, but you’ll want a wrench on hexagonal body for initial thread engagement. The nickel plating gives it decent corrosion resistnce for humid environments, though we don’t recommend it for outdoor exposure or chemcial washdown areas. ISO and CE certs are on the COA, and we can provide the SDS if your safety team asks.
One detail that catches people off guard: the negative pressrue rating of -29.5 in Hg means it’s fine for vacuum pick-and-place systems, but only with compressed air as the fluid medium. We had a buyer try it on a coolant line once, and the seal swelled within a week—so stick to the spec. The weight is light enough that you can ship 50 pieces in a small padded envelope, and the pre-coated thread sealant is basically a dry film that activates on tightening.
Anyway, if you’re ordering, the 1/8” BSP to 6mm tube size is the most common, but we also carry R and NPT threads—just confirm the thread standard when you place the order. Lead time is usually 2-3 weeks for standard sizes, though we’ve got about 1,200 units in stock right now for the 4mm and 8mm variants. No minimum order quantty for those, but for custom thread lengths or special sleeve colors, we’ll need a 500-piece MOQ.
