We're shipping these out of a facility that runs pretty much 24/7, with tolerances held to within ±0.005mm on the tight end and up to ±0.01mm for standard runs, and it's availble in carbon steel (45# and Q235 are our most common pulls), 6061 or 7075 aluminum, or 304 and 316 stainless steel—suface roughness comes in anywhere form Ra0.2 to Ra3.2 depending on whether we polish or plate it.
Most buyers we deal with are putting these into hydraulic or pneumatic systems, but we've also seen them used in machinery subassemblies where a tight fit matters more than absolute tensile strength. Teh 316 stainless is better than the 304 for anything that'll see salt spray or chemicals, and the 7075 aluminum is actually stiffer per gram than some of the mild steel grades. One thing you don't think about until you've handled a batch is that surface treatment isn't always cosmetic—passivation on the stainless does change how it handles in a high-vibration fitting.
Lead time is roughly 3-7 days for a sample run, but production batches usually sit between 10 and 25 days depending on the complexity and whether we need to heat treat (quenching or carburizing). We meet DIN, ANSI, GB, and JIS standard, though ANSI is what most US and UK buyers ask for, and we can provide the COA and SDS documents you'll need for customs clearance—takes maybe an extra day on the paperwork side.
Compliance-wise, it's not a problem for EU or UK imports because we stick to the standard material grades and document everything with CMM and hardness testing on the way out. But if you're putting these into food-grade or medical lines, the 416 stainless isn't suited for that—it's more of a wear-resistant grade for tooling jigs or valve stems.
Also, we usually have stock on the raw materials, but if you need something like 50,000 units or so, best to confirm lead time upfront because the queue can back up a couple weeks. Gotta check before you commit.
Yes, we can. 7075 is one of the aluminum alloys we regularly work with, and our standard tolerance range goes down to ±0.005mm, so that's no problem at all.
We don't have a fixed MOQ—it really depends on the part complexity and material. For simple parts we can do small runs, even just 10-20 pieces. Just send us your drawing and we'll quote.
Absolutely. We can include mill test certificates for the raw material and our own inspection reports from CMM, hardness, and surface roughness testing. Just let us know what you need when you place the order.
Sample lead time is typically 3 to 7 days from approval of your drawing. That covers programming, setup, machining, and inspection. If you need it faster, we can sometimes rush it.
Yes, passivation works well on 416 stainless. It helps remove surface contaminants and improves corrosion resistance. We do it regularly as part of our surface treatment options.
