The XHM1-400 is a 400A frame with an adjustable trip range of 10 to 63A, so you dial in the protection for your specific motor load. 2550KA breaking capacity is overkill for most applictions, but that's point—you don't want to find out your breaker can't handle a fault. Ics is 1835KA, which means it'll still work after clearing a serious hit.

And it's thermal-magnetic fixed type, so no fiddling with electronic modules. The 8000V impulse withstand helps if you're near lightning-prone areas or switching inductive loads. Dielectric rating is 3000V, and the arc extinguishes in air—maintenance is pretty straightforward.

One thing buyers don't always think about: teh ionization distance is ≤30mm, so make sure your panel clearances respect that for arc flash safety. Not suited for high-cycle switching applicaion—the mechanical life is 8500 cycles, electrical is 6000, so it's a protection device, not a disconnect you'll flip daily.
