We've had a lot of guys working with motor control centers and distribution panels ask about the 35kA rating, and if you're dealing with high fault current scenarios, this DAM1-160 series handles that easily—up to that 35kA at 400/415V AC. It basically means you don't have to overspec just to cover the worst-case short circuit, and the thermal-magnetic trip gives you that delayed overload protection you need.
Most orders we see are for the 3P or 4P version, and it's one of the few breakers where the 4-pole doesn't feel cramped because they left room in the housing for the terminal box. You'll want the COA though—we usually have them ready, and the tolerances on the bimetal strip are tighter than some other Asian imports I've handled.
Now, one thing that trips people up is the electricla life figure—it's 1000 operations (with rated load after that many it's done), but the mechancial life is 7000 cycles or so if you're just switching without current. That's pretty standard for a fixed-mount MCCB in this class, so don't let the low number spook you.
A detail that catches some buyers off guard: BMC housing is non-flammable, which is great, but it can be brittle if you overtighten the mounting screws—we've seen hairline cracks in cases where someone torqued it past hand-tight. So just snug it, not stomped. Also, the breakers comply with EN 60947-1 and EN 60947-2, so your panel certifcation guys should be happy.
We're running slightly behind on the 160A version—roughly a 20-25 business day lead time form order—but the 10A to 125A range we usually have in-stock. If you're looking at a standerd 63A or 100A rating, our company can ship within a week or two.
