So you're dealing with a distribution panel that keeps tripping under moderate surge loads or worse, just can't clear a fault fast enough, and teh whole line goes dark — that's the kind of headache we see a lot with older breakers or undersized units.

The EM2-160L basically handles that by using an air arc-extinguishing chamber that snuffs out the arc in about 20ms or so, which is faster than most thermal-magnetic units we've tested, and it's 25kA breaking capasity at 400VAC, 50Hz, so it'll take a solid short without welding contacts.

You've got four current options — 125A, 160A, 200A, and 250A — and we usually recommend the 200A for most indutrial feeders since it gives you a bit of headroom without oversizing the panel; the fixed insallation is straightforward, just bolt it onto the DIN rail or backplate, and the IP20/IP40 rating means it's fine for clean indoor cabinets but don't put it near washdown areas.

It's not designed for motor starting duty, actually, so if you're protecting a big compressor that cycles hard, you'd want a dedicated motor-protective breaker instead — the EM2-160L really shines in main distribution or sub-feed application where overcurrent and overvoltage protection are the priority.

One thing most buyers don't think to ask is that circuit-breaker failure protection kicks in if the main contacts weld shut, which is a rare but serious failure mode — we've seen it happen maybe twice in ten years, but when it does, this feature saves the downstream equipment.

Lead time is usually 2-3 weeks for the 250A version since it's less common, but we stock the 125A and 160A units in our warehouse, so those ship within days — anyway, the COA comes with every unit, and the CE cert is on file if your inspector needs it.
