Basically we needed something that could handle variable speed without losing torque across the range, so this YVF2 series with independent fan cooling was practical pick—most standard motors overheat at low speeds, but the separate fan keeps airflow constant whether you're running at 5Hz or 50Hz.
It's a three-phase squirrel-cage design with constant torque from 5 to 50Hz, and we went with the 6-pole version for our conveyor line, though they offer 2, 4, and 8 poles depending on your appliction; the 380V is stock but they can customize voltage if you ask, and power goes from 0.37KW up to 375KW depending on the frame size.
These aren't for precision servo applications where you need encoder feedback for closed-loop control—the encoder option exists, but for our variable torque loads like pumps and fans, the base model with frequency inverter is more than adequate, and the starting smoothness is actually pretty good even without it.
ISO9001 and CCC certification came with the batch, and we usually get COAs on request, though lead time on the independent fan assembly can be 20 days or so (check with the supplier if you need it faster); the efficieny rating hits up to 95% on the larger units, which beats most standard induction motors in this class.
