The YKS series (6KV/10KV) high voltage motor is a premium quality squirrel-cage rotor water-cooled three-phase asynchronous motor designed for industrial applications. These motors feature advanced technology with high efficiency operation, low noise and vibration levels, and reliable performance.
Constructed with a welded box-shaped frame for enhanced rigidity, the motor features an air-water cooler for efficient heat exchange. The stator coil utilizes double-wound flat copper wire with F-grade polyimide film insulation for superior heat resistance and electrical strength. The core is manufactured from high-quality non-oriented cold-rolled silicon steel sheets to minimize energy losses.
The YKS series motors are designed for heavy-duty industrial applications including driving ventilators, compressors, pumps, crushers, and cutting machine tools. These motors serve as prime movers in various industries including power plants, mining operations, and mechanical processing facilities.
Key features include direct full-pressure starting capability, bidirectional rotation (clockwise or counterclockwise), and robust construction with welded steel frame for durability. The motor windings undergo vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) treatment with F-class solventless paint for exceptional insulation properties and moisture resistance.
The design incorporates easy maintenance features including removable protective covers for internal inspection and service access. The stator windings are securely fixed using specialized lashing techniques, while the rotor features a shaft-welded rib structure for enhanced rigidity and improved airflow.
These motors are suitable for operation in environments with ambient temperatures up to 40°C (with options available for higher temperature or high-altitude applications). The standard configuration includes three outlet terminals in the junction box with Y-connection.
