Depending on your automation setup, the 315P and 400P are the sweet spots for robot integration — we've shipped a lot of those into shipbuilding lines where the pulse frequency range of 0.5-500Hz gives you real control over heat input and puddle formation, especially on thin stainless or aluminun sections where you're chasing distortion limits. Most buyers go with the 380V version since it handles duty cycle better, but the 220V option works if you're running lighter gauge stuff in a fab shop.

It's a fully digital constant current system, so what it does is eliminate that wandering arc you get with older transformer-based units, and the high-frequency start gets you going without tungsten contamination on the first tack. The lift start is there as a fallback, but honestly, if you're running a robot, you'll want the HF every time — we've seen better consistency on root passes that way. Tight tolerances on the output too, better than most analog controls for pulsed TIG when you're weaving a torch arm.

TIG Welding Machine

We usually have stock on the 400P and 500P models (check lead time for the 630P — those are built to order, roughly 20 days or so), and the COA covers the insulation class H ratings and the 80% duty cycle at rated amps. Packaing is standard wooden crate with foam inserts for the 60kg unit, but the smaller 315P comes in a double-walled cardboard box with internal bracing — weight is about 16kg or so for that one, so shippng is manageable. The water cooling option is an add-on, not standard, so specify that if you're running above 400A for extended intervals.

Industrial TIG Welder

One thing a lot of buyers miss is that the forced air cooling works fine for most cycles, but if your robot is doing continuous seam welds at 500A for more than 8 minutes, you'll see the thermal protection kick in — it's not suited for that kind of duty without the water kit, and that's just physics. The independent air duct design helps keep dust out of the electronics in those presure vessel shops, so it's actually a better fit for dirty environments than some Japanese brands we've seen.

Anyway, the pulse width adjustment is analog-potentiometer style on the front panel, so if you're integrating it with a PLC, you'll need the remote interface cable — we include teh connector but not the cable run, which is usually about 10 meters or so depending on your cell layout. Arc starting down to 1 amp is real, we've tested it on 0.5mm sheet with a 1.6mm tungsten and it holds stable, no arc wander, which is pretty much the best you'll get at this price point.

Frequently Asked Questions

What certifications are included with the TIG-315P/400P/500P models?

All models come with CCC, CE, ISO, and ROHS certifications. We can share copies with your order.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for the TIG-500P DC welder?

The MOQ is typically 1 unit for samples, but for bulk orders we start at 5 pieces. Let us know your volume for a better quote.

Can you customize the robot interface on the TIG-400P for our specific welding robot?

Yes, the robot interface is configurable. We can adjust the communication protocol to match your robot model—just share the specs and we'll handle it.

How long is the lead time for a TIG-315P DC with water cooling option?

Standard lead time is 15-20 working days. For the water cooling option, add about 5 more days because of the extra assembly.

What packaging do you use for the TIG-630P DC welder to prevent damage during shipping?

We pack it in a strong corrugated carton with foam inserts, then put it in a plywood case for extra protection. The unit is secured to prevent movement.
