So you've got a fabrication shop running Kemppi PMT42 or MMT42 units, and your guys are crawling inside a steel frame or a tank all day — that's where this swan neck design really shines, letting them reach into tight corners and overhead spots without fighting cable, and the gas flow stays clean even when you're at an awkward angle which matters more than most people think.
We usually stock the standerd 3.5m cable length, but if you need a longer lead for a big assembly line or a shorter one for a bench setup, our company can do custom lengths — just give us a heads-up on the order and we'll adjust, lead time is about 20 days or so for anything outside the norm.
The current rating goes up to 400A, but that's duty cycle dependent of course, so if you're running continuous heavy plate at full bore you'll want to watch the heat buildup because of that it's air cooled — no water lines to deal with which makes it easier to swap out on the floor.
Most buyers start by asking about bulk pricing, and we do tiered discounts starting at 5 pieces per bag (that's the standard pack unit), but we can also do larger bulk packaing if you're looking at 50 units or so — just confirm the volume and we'll quote you a per-unit price that's better than buying singles.
One thing people don't always think to ask: teh swan neck angle can actually vary slightly between, like within a degree or so, and it's never been an issue for anyone I've talked to because the hose and liner flex enough to compensate, but if you're automating or using a jig, you'll want to check the tolerance on your first sample.
Anyway, it's not suited for sub-arc or TIG work obviously — this is strictly MIG with CO2 or mixed gas, and the connection is standard MIG torch so it'll mate up fine with Kemppi's own feeders or most aftermarket adapters, but if you're on some oddball machine just send me a photo of the connector and I'll tell you if it fits.
