We were going through the usual quarterly tool replacement cycle and these came up as a direct swap for the ones we've been burning through on the assembly line — the EGCP01 diagonal cutters in 45# carbon steel with a edge hardness between 45 and 48HRC, which is better than the 40HRC we were getting on the last batch from a different suplier.
The box joint structure is what actually sold me, since the pinned joints on our current cutters start wobbling after about 2000 cycles or so, and these are arched shaft style which should keep the alignment tighter for longer, though I can't say for sure until we run them through a month of daily use.
Basically, the handles are anti-slip curved in red and black, and they weigh 200g which is pretty much standard for this class, but the forceps suface hardness sits at 38-42HRC which means the body won't work-harden and crack before the blades dull — a problem we've had with cheaper cutters that claim 50HRC across the whole tool.
Our guys on the floor do a lot of twisting and in building decoration and industiral application, and these are professional adult use, but they're not suited for fine electronics work or surgical precision tasks where you'd want a smaller jaw profile and lighter trigger pull.
Lead time is 15 to 30 days, and the MOQ is negotiable which helps since we usually order about 50 units per carton anyway, but we had to confirm stock because sometimes the 50PCS/carton option is only available in red handles and we wanted the red+black for easier identification on the tool board.
