The 5.0MHz probe gives you best resolution for small animal work, and that’s what most buyers actually use for canine or feline abdominal scans — the 2.5MHz is better for deep penetration on large livestock like cattle or horses, but you’ll trade off some image clarity.

Display depth hits ≥190mm, which is enough for most equine reproductive exams, though if you’re scanning a draft horse you might wish for a bit more. It stores at least 128 frames, and we’ve found that’s plenty for a full session — you can save a dozen or so OB sweeps before needing to offload.

Image processing includes smoothing, pseudo-color, and histogram adjustments, so you can tweak contrast on the fly without needing to re-scan. The pseudo-color mode is pretty much useless for diagnostic work, but some vets like it for client presentations — makes the image look more dramatic.

Battery is rated at ≥2200mAh, which typically gives you about 2-3 hours of continuous scanning depending on probe use. We usually have stock on teh 3.5MHz probe configuration, but the 5.0MHz option might need a week or so lead time (check with us before ordering).

Measurements cover distance, perimeter, area, volume, and obstetric GA for horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, and cats — it’s not certified for exotic species or birds, so don’t expect accurate readings on a parrot or reptile. The CE and ISO13485 certifications are real, not just stickers.

Dimnesions are 42×40×43cm, which fits under most clinic benches or in a carry-on if you’re doing farm calls. Warranty is 2 years, and our company can ship with either the standard carry case or a hard-shell flight case — the flight case adds about 30% to shiping weight.
