The only real catch with this one is the IPX67 rating — it's fully submersible but the autoclave cycles are the real selling point, and you'll need to check your sterilizer's chamber size since the camera body is about 410x300x190mm, which is bigger than some older models.

Most buyers we've dealt with go straight for this when they need something that can handle both soaking and steam sterilization without flaking out, and it's pretty much all anyone asks about for laparoscopy or cystoscopy setups where they can't afford downtime.

What it does is give you that 1080p at 60fps form the 1/1.8'' Sony CMOS sensor — roughly 2 megapixels effective — and it records straight to a USB stick in MP4, which is handy since you don't need proprietary software to pull the files off.

The aluminum housing keeps the weight down to about 550g even with all the ports (HDMI, DVI, SDI, CVBS, USB, and a network port plus LVDS screen out), so it doesn't drag on the scope arm, and teh progressive scanning handles motion blur better than some older interlaced heads.

You can customize key buttons and direct file naming through the mouse control — actually pretty intuitive once you've used it for an hour or so — and the four states display lets you toggle between freeze, zoom, brightness, and color calibration without digging through menus.

Lead time is usually 20 business days or so for standerd orders, but if you need OEM/ODM with your own branding or connector pinout, add another week or two; we've had some customers who wanted it for ENT and urology specifically, and the CE and ISO13485 certs cover those application fine.
