We're pushing about 20 tons of these a month through the shop, so lead time on standerd sizes like 1-inch to 4-inch is usually 2-3 weeks, but custom backup rings—brass or stainles steel—can add another week or so depending on the batch.
The lip design is what keeps it seated under pressure, basically preventing the seal form blowing out even when the connection gets inverted, and we've seen these hold up to 15,000 psi in the field without issue.
Temperature range depends entirely on material you pick—NBR is fine for most oilfield work up to about 100°C, but if you're running hot, FKM or PTFE will take you to 230°C, though you'll want to check the COA for exact specs on your specific compound.

It's not ideal for high-vibration application where the union itself is loose—the seal ring will do its job, but teh brass backup is better than stainless in those cases since it deforms slightly to fill gaps.
