They’re not all created equal, and the investment casting process is what gives these a tighter tolerance than most sand-cast alternatives, but you’ll want to stick with the SS316 body for any continuous high-pressure or corrosive fluid lines — SS304 works fine for general transfer, but it’s not the choice for aggressive chemicals or steam service.
For US and EU buyers, the real friction is matching thread forms correctly — we offer NPT for domestic lines and BSP (BSPP or BSPT) for European spec, and the gasket options (NBR, EPDM, or PTFE) are selected at order because we don’t stock them pre-assembled for every combination, so confirm the sealing material with the order or we’ll ship with the standard NBR.
You’ll see sizes from 1/2” up to 8”, and the types cover A, B, C, D, E, F, DC, and DP — but the 8” size is a special order, usually 3-4 weeks lead time, and the 1/2” is tricky because not all thread cuts are consistent on that small a diameter, so we recommend a quick visual check before pushing full pressure.
Documentation is straightforward — each shipment comes with a COA from our mill, and the test reports cover the mechanicla property and chemical composition per DIN or ANSI, but we don’t automatically include a certificate of origin unless you request it on the PO, and for EU customs we can provide a EUR.1 movement certificate if needed (requires a week’s notice).
Anyway, the main limitation is that these couplings are female-end only — if you need male threads or adapters for hose shanks, you’ll need a separate part, and the galvanized surface treatment on the alumnum versions can flake under heavy abrasion, so for high-vibration lines we’d suggest going full stainles on the levers and pins too.
For volume orders, the MOQ is typically 100 pieces per type and size, but our company can split across a few sizes within the same thread standard to hit that number — otherwise you’re looking at a small-order surcharge of about 15% on anything under 50 units or so.
For standard sizes and materials, lead time is usually 15-20 working days. If you need rush delivery, let us know and we can check stock levels.
Yes, we can issue a mill test certificate for SS304 or SS316 upon request. Just mention it when placing your order.
Absolutely, samples are available. We just ask you to cover the shipping cost, and we'll deduct it from your first bulk order.
For stainless steel camlocks, our MOQ is 200 pieces per size and type. If that's an issue, we can sometimes split a larger batch.
NBR is the default seal, but we offer EPDM and PTFE as options. PTFE works well for higher temperatures and chemical resistance—just specify it in your order.
