It basically does what a two-stroke does but without mixing oil into the gas — less smoke, less noise, and the vibration is noticeably lower on your hands after an hour. The idle sits at 3000rpm give or take 200, which is pretty standard for these. Most buyers go with the metal blade for thick brush and keep teh nylon cutter for lawn edges.
We usually stock these in batches of 50 or so, but confirm lead time if you need more than 100 — sometimes the drive shaft assembly runs behind. The working pole diameter steps from 26mm to 28mm at the head, so it's stiffer than the cheaper 25mm tubes you see on consumer units.
Not ideal for anything over 500 square meters of continuous heavy scrub — the 0.6L fuel tank means you're refilling every 20-25 minutes at full throttle. And noise hits 96dB(A) at the operator's ear, so you'll want hearing protection anyway (check local regs for commercail use).
What it does is give you a solid mid-range trimmer that doesn't need a separate fuel mix — the four-stroke engine is actually easier on maintenance if you're running a fleet. The 9-tooth drive shaft and 1530mm length are pretty much standdard across GX35 clones, so spare parts are easy to find.
One thing we've noticed: the bull-horn handle's anti-slip grip holds up better than the foam ones on cheaper models, but it's slightly wider than average — if your crew has small hands, they might find it a stretch. Anyway, the CE cert is current and we provide COA per batch.
